There's a nice article in the latest issue of the Nashville Bar Journal (warning: it takes a while to download the journal) that reminds lawyers of the danger of PDA-addiction and suggests ways to limit PDA-usage (e.g., don't check during meals, limit usage first thing in the morning and when spending family time with the kids, etc.)
There's also a reference in the article to an alarming statistic that came out of a study conducted for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts last year: over one third (35%) of the participants polled said if forced to choose, they would pick their PDA over their spouse.
The statistic begs the question though: is the problem PDA-addiction or the state of 21st century marriages? I'm afraid the answer would be discouraging either way.
