I thought this article offered a nice retort... leave it to the Canucks to offer the Yanks some perspective.

This is a perfect article for me right now. I'm sitting at home on a Saturday morning in front of my computer. My boyfriend just left for vacation to mnt. bike and camp in Oregon, a trip I was supposed to go on but alas, I am stuck here because of work. This time I chose to be "responsible" because I have to but I have chosen to let work slide before in order to get away. Its a constant battle, one that never lets up since priorities change and people grow. Thanks for reminding me that I'm not alone!

The work/life balance if difficult for anyone who wants to do both well. Apparently Welch really didn't care about the "life" part of the equation.
