Great Website for Young Traveling Lawyers: TripAdvisor.com

For lawyers who travel a lot, I'd highly recommend TripAdvisor.com.  Despite what many lawyers and non-lawyers assume, traveling as a lawyer is not always glamorous.  Time away from family and the home is taxing on multiple fronts and with understandable and appropriate cost-cutting measures in place these days, five-star travel is out of the question.  (Just forget about the round of golf or the lavish spa treatment.  The client is certainly not paying for it, and your spouse at home will be even less forgiving.)  So, it helps to know where to find the best values in travel, hotels especially.

TripAdvisor does a really nice job compiling published reviews and user comments to arrive at a ranking of the best hotels in just about any given area.  Sure, the compilation is somewhat subjective but, trust me, while you can't often stay in the top hotel, you certainly don't want to stay in the some place located toward the bottom of the barrel.  For example: Top 10 Dirtiest Hotels.
